greetings all...we have a older 1962 boiler and are having problems with pneumatic valves...my question is...the three way valves at the fan coil unit were changed over the course of years and we are having trouble getting warm air to the individual rooms...the most recent riser installation
...the plumbers hooked up some of the 3 way valves in the normally open setting...and i was wondering ...are they not supposed to be in the (normally closed position) as the air from thermostat ..when calling for heat increases air psi to 3 way... i noticed if i unhook air line...no psi..they work fine...if i hook up the line with psi they shut off...is this not backwards. please help as we are calling plumbers to look at this same problem over and over and we are throwing away money as no one seems to get what is happening. thanks for any help...
p.s. all pneumatic thermostats increase psi when calling for heat and decrease when calling for chill yes/no ???
